The experience goes beyond ice cream. Freshly baked waffle cones, house-made sauces, seasonal desserts, and homemade waffles add even more variety to the menu.
After the Holman family era, the property served several different purposes before falling into disrepair. Ken and Jenny Meister later purchased and extensively restored the building, helping preserve an important piece of Summerside history. During the restoration, their daughter Sarah began experimenting with ice cream recipes using a tabletop ice cream maker, helping shape what would eventually become Holman’s Ice Cream.
Today, Holman’s continues as a welcoming, family-run destination where visitors can enjoy homemade ice cream in a beautiful historic setting.
Located at 286 Fitzroy Street in Summerside, Holman’s Ice Cream is a wonderful place to enjoy local flavours, handcrafted treats, and a taste of Prince Edward Island history.
